42 candidates on 10th day of '16 elections, compared to 52 in '13

KUWAIT, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- A number of 42 candidates registered on the 10th and last day of registration for the 2016 electoral race on Friday, raising the number of the total contestants to 454 with one withdrawal.
The fourth and fifth constituencies got the lion's share today with 11 candidates followed by the first with eight, the third with seven and five in the second constituency.
The number of candidates in the 10th day in the elections race 2013 stood at 52 with the fifth constituency having the lion's share with 18 candidates followed by the fourth with 15.
The first constituency then registered 10 candidates and five in the 3rd followed by the second constituency with four candidates.
In the December 2012 race, which was dissolved by the a ruling of the constitutional court, the 10th day saw 163 candidates including five female ones.
The fifth constituency then got the lion's share with 49 candidates followed by the fourth with 46, 26 in the second, 24 in the first and the third constituency with 18.(pick up previous).
