NEW YORK, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Mike Penceآ’s airplane skidded off at Laguardia Airport after arriving from Iowa.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the plane carrying Republican nominee slid off the runway while landing at LaGuardia Airport Thursday evening, confirming no injuries have been reported.
The plane skidded off the runway before 8:00 p.m. (New York Time) carrying 37 people including Pence, his family and staffers. It was raining in New York at the time of landing, as it had been for the most of the day.
According to the FAA, the Boeing 737 is resting against the perimeter fence after it skid of the runway.
NYC Emergency Management said "due to a plane skidding off the runway, La Guardia is currently closed until further notice." (end)
