KUWAIT, Oct 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said on Wednesday the unified Gulf security agreement has become a historic necessity amid the current regional security circumstances and developments.
Speaking to reporters after attending a seminar on post-traumatic disorder for humanitarian and relief workers, co-organized by the Foreign Ministry and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Al-Jarallah said: "The ball is now in the court of the next National Assembly to take an appropriate decision regarding the Gulf security agreement." He added that now that the former National Assembly has been resolved due to the hard security developments and circumstances, it is, thence, necessary to adopt and approve this agreement.
Al-Jarallah noted that the Kuwaiti government would present the draft agreement to the next parliament, hoping that it would be passed. (end) hrz.msa.mt
