KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti delegating has paid an official visit to Malaysia as part of a campaign to lure specialized companies to take part in the know-how transfer exhibition due in the Gulf State in February next year.
Nayef Al-Shemmari, assistant secretary general of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, who chaired the delegation, said in a statement to KUNA that he held talks with Malaysian companies and authorities, inviting them to take part in the exhibition, due in Kuwait on February 20-22, under His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's patronization.
The meetings were held with car manufacturing companies, the steel authority, the national chamber of commerce and industry, the small and medium size foundation, the investment authority and the establishment for developing external trade.
Kuwait plans to lure more than 300 foreign companies from 15 states to the fair, Al-Shemmari indicated.
The Supreme Council is seeking to transfer innovative know-how and investment opportunities to Kuwaiti entrepreneurs. (end) aib.rk
