KUWAIT, Oct 25 (KUNA) -- 1974 -- The Kuwaiti Dentists Society was proclaimed.
2002 -- Ali Marwi, player of the National Soccer Team and Al-Salmiya Club, retired after 19 years in the game, during which he won the title, "best Arab Striker for the 97-98 Season." He was the first Kuwaiti soccer player who had become professional abroad.
2005 -- A 320-Airbus passenger aircraft of Al-Jazeera airlines landed at Kuwait International Airport for the first time, signaling a stride in the national air navigation. The share-holding company was established in 2004, at a capital of 10 million Kuwaiti dinars.
2008 -- Abdulrahman Al-Fars passed away at age 71. The deceased held several positions at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, headed the Kuwaiti Hajj mission several times, and contributed to religious radio and television programs. He was also co-founding member of Kuwait Finance House (KFH) and part of the consultative committee at the Amiri Diwan.
2010 -- Amiri Decree 417/2010 was issued to establish the national apparatus for academic accreditation and quality of education to develop programs at higher education institutions. (end) rk
