Egyptian court sentences 20 yrs in prison against ex-pres. Morsi

CAIRO, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Courts of Cassation on Saturday upheld a 20-year prison sentence against former President Mohamed Morsi, for allegedly inciting violence during a demonstration in December 2012.
Today's court decision is deemed final and cannot be further appealed.
The court also upheld 10-20-year imprisonment sentences against several other convicted leaders and members of the Muslim Brotherhood Group.
Morsi and other leaders are charged with inciting violence against protesters who had staged a sit-in outside the presidential palace in 2012. (end) asm.rg.mt
