CAIRO, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Two policemen were killed and a third wounded in an explosion that hit Egypt's North Sinai Governorate, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.
The ministry's statement added that unidentified attackers planted a roadside bomb near the Rind Road of the provincial capital Al-Arish, and the explosion took place as a patrol vehicle passed by.
Meanwhile, the ministry said that the security forces had fully controlled the situation in a central prison in the governorate of Ismailia, 120 kilometer northeast of Cairo, after a group of inmates tried to escape, and six of them were successful.
