Iran rejects charges on targeting US warship off Yemen's coast

TEHRAN, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- Iran on Thursday rejected US accusations that Tehran was involved in targeting a US warship in the Red Sea off Yemen's coast recently.
In a press statement, Spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry Bahram Qasemi described the US officials' remarks as an unreal, suspicious and baseless.
The US military men, who have direct and indirect roles in the war in Yemen, had better to end the war instead of accusing others, he said.
Head of the US Central Command Operations Joseph Votel, spoke on Wednesday about a possible role by Iran in striking the warship in the Red Sea. (end) mw.hm
