WASHENGTON, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait Ambassador to the United States Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said Thursday that First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will head an official high level delegation to lunch the first strategic dialogue between Kuwait and the United States of America.
The strategic dialogue will be held at the capital Washington next Friday, where US Secretary of State John Kerry will head the US side, the ambassador said in a statement received by KUNA.
This dialogue translates the vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and US President Barack Obama to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and draw a road map of strategic relations for 25 years in order to serve the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples towards a bright future, he said.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled will meet with his accompanying delegation a number of senior officials in the US administration on sidelines of the strategic dialogue to follow up on all issues of common interest, particularly the political, military, security, cultural and economic, trade and investment cooperation.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled is accompanied by senior official delegation and representatives from the Foreign Ministry, the departments of Defense, Interior, Higher Education, National Security Apparatus, the Public Authority for Investment and Direct Investment Promotion Authority.
First Deputy Prime Minister is scheduled to receive US soldiers who participated in the liberation of Kuwait war in 1991 from the Iraqi invasion to express appreciation and gratitude for their role and heroic position. (end) sd.ss
