Clinton still on top in US election polls with three weeks left

WASHINGTON, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- US Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton continues to top her Republican rival Donald Trump in two major national polls with just over three weeks left until the November 8 elections.
Clinton is ahead by a significant 10 points in the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll conducted after the second presidential debate, with 51 percent compared to 41 percent for Trump.
She also holds a six-point lead in the Washington Post-ABC News poll, leading her Republican rival, in a two-way matchup, by 50-44 percent among registered voters.
Some 70 percent of those polled believe Trump has made "unwanted sexual advances" on women and a majority of them found his apology "insincere" for the videotaped controversial remarks on women, said The Washington Post.
Furthermore, political analysts suggest that Trump has all but lost the presidential bid to his Democratic rival.
At this time in 2008, Barack Obama was beating John McCain by seven points, and Mitt Romney by four points in 2012, according to NBC News. (end) sd.ibi
