KUWAIT, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait University (KU) is set to celebrate its golden jubilee on November 30th, under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
This occasion is a genuine opportunity to showcase some of the university's most notable accomplishments, KU Secretary General Mohammad Al-Faris said in a press conference on Thursday.
Moreover, he said the celebrations that will take place on the university premises is a token of appreciation for those who helped build this venerable academic institution, adding that the event would solidify a repute forged through five decades. Meanwhile, KU's Associate Professor Dr. Adam Al-Mulla revealed that university faculties will individually hold their own celebrations on December 1-7, with activities galore.
He also added after the jubilee celebration is over, a carnival will be held where numerous booths will be set up to display stellar academic achievements.
Al-Mulla also vowed that the university will remain resolute to eliminate any impediments to the careers of its pupils. (end) msa.nam
