KHATROUM, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- After two years of negotiations through a national dialogue conference to addressing Sudan's internal problems, a national document was signed Sunday, including recommendations that will form pillars for the rule of the country.
"The national dialogue document represents the well of Sudanese people and we welcome all to join," Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir made the remarks, in a speech at the closing a national dialogue ceremony and after signing the national document.
The national document was signed by heads of political parties and armed groups participating in the national dialogue, however other political parties will sign after the concluding the ceremony.
The closing session of the dialgue will witness a number of heads of states, including Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi, and Mauritania and Chad leaders in their capacity as a Arab League and the African Union and rotating presidents respectively, along with Uganda President Yoweri Museveni, and Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul Gheit.
In January 2014, the Sudanese president launched an initiative for dialogue and called on armed opposition groups to join him to end the crisis in the country.
Under the recommendations, a national reconciliation government will be formed headed by Al-Bashir until a general election in 2020. (end) hhe.mb
