Sports authority hands over Amiri Gift to KFA

KUWAIT, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Public Authority for Sport (PAS) Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Sunday handed over the Amiri Gift for the Amiri Cup final 2015-2016 to the Kuwait Football Association (KFA).
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour received today KFA Deputy Chairman Assad Taqui, and the association secretary Saad Al-Houti. PAS Deputy Director General Humoud Fulaiteh attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour expressed gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his care of sports and athletes, and directives on removing obstacles facing them.
PAS does its best to rid obstacles countering athletes, out of its belief in the message to support the Kuwaiti sports, he said. The authority will forever remain a shelter of talented people and a supporter to those who have initiatives and enlightened thinking, for a real sports renaissance.
According to the Amiri Gift, winner of the Cup, Kuwait SC, will receive KD 60,000, while Al-Arabi, which ranked second will have KD 23,000. Qadsia and Salmiya, third and fourth respectively, will receive KD 12,000 each. (KD 1 = USD 3.3) (end) fn.amh.msa
