KUNA Chairman receives official spokespersons

KUWAIT, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- KUNA Board Chairman and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah on Thursday received spokesperson of government bodies. During the meeting, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij reviewed the topics covered by the first workshop for official spokespersons that kicked off on Tuesday for three days.
He also addressed the significant role of official spokespersons, namely conveying correct and positive information to the society, amid the technological revolution and the new media.
The KUNA chairman urged the spokespersons to highlight the major achievements of the government, expressing readiness to offer them all forms of support as part of the coordination to enhance the role of the media.
The meeting was attended by KUNA's Deputy Director-General for the Editorial Sector and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali, and Deputy Director General for Administrative, Financial, and Communication Affairs Abdulhamid Malak.
Then, they delegation had a tour at the editorial sector where Al-Ali briefed them on nature of work and the role of each department, in addition to the coordination between KUNA and the various ministries and government bodies.
During a meeting with the Editor-in-Chief and heads of departments, the delegation was acquainted with KUNA's role, both on the national level and overseas.
Al-Ali and the official spokespersons discussed means of boosting cooperation between KUNA and the bodies they represent, with the aim of achieving the aspired goals of the Development Committee of the Cabinet, especially delivering correct and positive information to the people. (end) aas.msa
