AMMAN, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah departed the Jordanian capital on Saturday, after attending the opening of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
Upon departure, Jordan's Minister of Sports and Youth Rami Wraikat, along with Kuwait's Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij, bid farewell to Sheikh Salman and his accompanying delegation.
During his stay in Amman, the Kuwaiti Minister of Information met with President of the Jordan Football Association Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, where the two discussed strategies for closer ties between both nations.
The fifth edition of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, which kicked off Friday, is the biggest sporting event to be hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom. (end) mjb.nam
