ALGIERS, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- As a joint Kuwaiti-Algerian ministerial committee kicked off, earlier Thursday, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh stressed that bilateral ties have reached an exceptional level.
Al-Saleh, who is also Acting Minister of Oil, said in his opening speech that this meeting will be a great opportunity to activate economic cooperation between Kuwait and Algeria.
The ninth edition of the Kuwaiti-Algerian ministerial committee is mainly concerned with economic, cultural and scientific cooperation.
On his part, Algerian Minister of Finance Hadji Babaammi expressed similar sentiment of stimulating dual cooperation in all domains, pointing out that this meeting will be a chance to conduct a thorough study on how this collaboration should be carried out.
Preparatory meetings, ahead of today's event, had discussed a wide range of issues related to cooperation in trade, investment, oil, gas, tourism, transportation, scientific research, culture, education, occupational training and others. (end) ft.nfm
