GENEVA, Sept 27 (KUNA) - Switzerland's lower house of parliament has supported a suggestion imposing a ban on face veils in the country.
Some 88 deputies said "yes", while 87 others said "no" to the ban suggestion with 10 abstentions.
The move echoed similar measures by several European nations, mainly France, to tighten controls on veil.
However, the plan still has to pass through the upper house and the government before it becomes law. (end)
