Kuwait, Cyprus seek joint investment

KUWAIT, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- Visiting Cypriot Minister of Finance Haris Georgiades met Tuesday with officials of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) ways of promoting trade exchange and available investment opportunities for the private sector.
During the meeting, they discussed available investment opportunities, visa advantages for foreign investors in Kuwait, investment in real estate, tax system and investment funds, KCCI Member Wafa Al-Qattami said in a press statement.
She said trade exchange between Kuwait and Cyprus stands at around USD 26 million, calling on Cypriot companies to boost trade between both sides.
She quoted the visiting Cypriot minister as stressing firm historical relations between Kuwait and Cyprus, boasting that his country enjoys high-quality financial services and low taxes.
He added that Cyprus has several promising growth opportunities for a number of sectors, including real estate, tourism, navigation and mega development ventures. (end) fh.asa.mt
