ALGEIRS, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is taking part in the 15th International Energy Forum (IEF15) under the slogan "Global Energy Transitions: An Enhanced Role For Energy Dialogue", with participation of 50 countries.
Kuwait will be represented by a high-level delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh, along with the participation of OPEC member states.
The two-day forum will tackle developing all forms of energies, including renewable energies, and discussing the oil markets outlook, the stability challenge and natural gas.
The program of IEF15 will focus on several sessions covering the most critical issues in global energy dialogue including energy governance, sustainable energy and enhancing energy security.
Moreover, Energy Minister of Algeria will hold an informal meeting with OPEC officials on the sidelines of the forum over reaching a conclusion on a possible oil price freeze or cut.
The Algerian Energy Minister Noureddine Bouterfa said that OPEC ministers can transform the gathering into an extraordinary meeting, depending on positive discussions until then.
According to Bouterfa, the current level of prices makes the OPEC countries loose between 300 and 500 million dollars every day, amounts that could be invested in the oil research and exploitation and new investments as well. (end).
