PAAET makes progress to better serve society

KUWAIT, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) has made headway in recent years to develop its curriculum to better cater to the needs of the job market, its Director General Ahmad Al-Athari said on Saturday.
More than 50 of PAAET's academic programs have been internationally recognized, in addition to three of its technological studies departments, Al-Athari said in a statement to the press.
Moreover, he noted that PAEET has recently earned its 18th academic license in its Energy Studies Institute, adding that courses on communication and construction training will soon follow suit.
Speaking on some endeavors undertaken by PAAET, Al-Athari said that the authority has forged agreements for cooperation with Arab Open University (AOU) and Kuwait University (KU) in efforts to contribute to the job market.
He also noted that PAAET would soon hold a conference on the use of information technologies, entitled, "Global Heading".
PAAET's Director General also underscored the need to eliminate any impediments faced by students. (end) amh.nam
