Kuwaiti body building Champion Ahmad Ashkanani during Greeted
KUWAIT, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Deputy Director General of Sports Affairs at Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS) Dr Humoud Flaiteh praised the achievement of Kuwaiti body building Champion Ahmad Ashkanani for winning the silver medal of Mr. Olympia Championship for body building that was held in Las Vegas, United States.
A statement issued on Thursday said PAYS is keen on supporting talented athletes in various individual and group games.
Deputy Chief of Asian Union and Head of Kuwaiti Committee for Body building Bader Bodai expressed happiness and pride over the achievement Ashkanani fulfilled.
Bodai announced donating USD 50,000 for the champion in recognition and as a step to encourage athletes.
Mr. Olympia is the biggest professional body building championship affiliated to the International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness (IFBB). (USD=KD 0.301). (end)
