Heads of Kuwaiti, Palestinian hajj missions meet on pilgrim affairs

MAKKAH, Sept 6 (KUNA) -- Head of the Kuwaiti hajj mission and Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Khlaif Muthib Al-Athaina received his Palestinian peer Dr. Hassan Youssef Al-Saify in Makkah on Tuesday.
The meeting focused on the joint efforts to facilitate the stay of pilgrims from both countries in the holy sites and enable them perform the pilgrimage rituals in a smooth and orderly way.
The two sides also discussed ways to promote cooperation and share experience in various specialized areas relating to caring for the pilgrims.
At the end of the meeting Al-Athaina presented a model of Kaaba Al Musharrafah (the Holy Kaaba or the building at the center of Al-Masjid Al-Haram - the Muslim's most sacred mosque, in Makkah) to Al-Saify as a gift token.
Al-Saify, who serves as Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti official for the hospitality and the gift. (end) nh.gb
