KUNA's Acting General Director, Abdulhamid Malak receives A delegation of Arab and foreign media personnel
KUWAIT, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- A delegation of Arab and foreign media personnel, currently visiting the country, on Monday affirmed that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has earned the UN designation, the Humanitarian Leader, due to his unrelenting support for humanitarian works.
This came during a meeting between KUNA's Acting General Director, Abdulhamid Malak, with the visiting delegation, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir, coupled with proclaiming the State of Kuwait as the Humanitarian Center.
The guests, during the meeting attended by KUNA's Deputy Chairman for the Editorial Department, Saad Al-Ali, lauded Kuwait for its rapid reactions for relieving the impoverished and nations stricken with catastrophes worldwide.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, at a grand ceremony at the UN headquarters in News York on September 9, 2014, granted the honorary titles for His Highness and his country. (end)
