IRBIL, Sept 4 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait's General Consulate in Iraq's Kurdistan announced on Sunday that 1,850 food parcels, provided by Kuwait Red Crescent Society, have been distributed to Iraqis from Mosul who have taken up refuge in Debka camp near Irbil.
Dr. Omar Al-Kanderi, the General consul, indicated to KUNA that aid would also be given to other Iraqis who had fled Ninawa and Al-Qura, adding that the Kuwaiti mission would supervise delivery of livestock to the needy on Eid Al-Adha.
Abdulrahman Al-Aoun, the head of the KRCS in the Kurdish region, said the society, with supervision by the General Consulate and the local Al-Barazani association, distributed 1,850 food packages to the relocated people, indicating that 11,000 Iraqis at the refugee camp benefited from the aid. The parcels will eventually reach 3,000, in addition to various medical services. (end) sbr.rk
