Firemen battle blazes in Al-Shuaiba -- fire dept.

KUWAIT, Sept 2 (KUNA) -- Firemen are currently battling blazes that erupted in a sponge warehouse in Western Al-Shuaiba district, Kuwait Fire service Directorate declared.
Lt. Col. Khalil Al-Ameer, the KFSD public relations chief, told KUNA the firemen rushed to Western Al-Shuaiba promptly after the department received information about break-out of a fire at the 3,000-sq-m warehouse.
The blazes are being put out, he said, indicating that there have been no injuries so far.
Investigations into circumstances of the incident will be conducted. (end) amn.rk
