RIYADH, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Three Saudis, one women and two men, were injured from shelling, earlier in the day, in Jazan province south of the kingdom, Spokesman for the Civil Defense Major Yahya Al-Qahtani said Monday.
In a statement quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Qahtani said that civil defense crew rushed to the scene after receiving information that a mortar round fired from Yemeni Samta province has landed.
The spokesman added the injured were transferred to nearby hospital.
Yemeni gunmen positioned close to the border with Saudi Arabia have repeatedlty fired rockets and artillery shells into Saudi lands, inflicting casualties and losses. (end) od.mb
