BERN, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
Director of Operations at KFAED Marwan Al-Ghanim and Assistant Director General and Head of the Global Cooperation Department of SDC Pio Wennubst were the signatories of the MoU.
Moreover, a series of discussions was held between the Kuwaiti and Swiss delegations, headed by Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who is on a visit to Switzerland to attend a ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of Kuwaiti-Swiss diplomatic ties, and Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter, respectively.
The discussions tackled ways to develop ties between both nations as well as regional and international developments.
Kuwait's delegation was comprised of Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled's Office Affairs Ambassador Saleh Al-Loughani, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ambassador Walid Al-Khubaizi, Kuwait's Ambassador to Switzerland Bader Al-Taneeb, CEO of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) Bader Al-Saad, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director of Operations at KFAED Marwan Al-Ghanim and a host of the Foreign Ministry's senior officials.
