KHARTOUM, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society continued on Monday distributing relief aid to floods victims in Khartoum through handing 650 parcels to affected families.
Head of the Kuwaiti Delegation Ahmad Abduallah Al-Fagaan said in remarks to KUNA that the distribution operations were conducted in Salha region in Omm Durman city for a total of 150 families, and to 500 families in Nefasha region, which is one of the most affected areas from the floods and heavy rains.
He expressed hope that the aid would contribute to the alleviation of sufferings of the affected families.
Meanwhile, Sudanese people expressed their thanks and appreciation to the KSCS for its generous and continuous help in offering aid amid such disasters.
More than 76 people were killed by the floods that hit the country in the past few months.(end) hha.lb
