Pakistan, Saudi Arabia reaffirm pledge to promote cooperation in diverse fields

ISLAMABAD, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pledged to further enhance bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and strengthen their cooperation in diverse fields.
This came during the brief visit of Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud to Pakistan.
These views were expressed by both sides during a meeting between the visiting Saudi Defense Minister and Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif late on Sunday night at the Premier's house in federal capital Islamabad.
Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif, Federal ministers and parliamentarians were also present.
A brief statement by the premier's House after the meeting said that the prime minister and the Saudi deputy crown prince pledged to further enhance the bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and strengthen their cooperation in diverse fields. Both men discussed issues of mutual interest at regional and international levels. During the meeting, Premier Nawaz said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have been great friends and Pakistan will stand by Saudi Arabia in case of any danger.(end).
