KUWAIT, Aug 28 (KUNA)

1973 -- Kuwait joined a 1961 international anti-drug treaty.
1990 -- Iraq declared Kuwait is its 19th province, and calls it "Kathma" following the invasion of Kuwait.
1999 -- A 28-year-old Kuwaiti woman gave birth to five babies ranging between 850 and 1,100 gm in weight.
2008 -- Kuwaiti swimmers won the 19th GCC swimming championship in Abu Dhabi, claiming 68 medals, including, 17 silver and 10 bronze. (end) haq
