17 strikes on IS in Iraq and Syria - coalition

WASHINGTON, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition conducted 17 airstrikes against so-called Islamic State (IS) in Syria and Iraq.
In Syria, coalition forces launched seven strikes near Manbij and Mar'a hitting and destroying separate tactical units, an artillery system and fighting positions, according to the daily report from Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve Saturday.
In Iraq, 10 strikes Fallujah, Hit, Kisik, Mosul, Qayyarah, Ramadi and Tal Afar targeted and destroyed tactical units, fighting positions, a communications facility, and a safe house being used by IS militants. (end) yt.rk
