KUWAIT, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health affirmed on Thursday its commitment to providing full medical treatment to Kuwaiti patients abroad.
The ministry denies anew halting procedures for citizens seeking treatment abroad "at pretext of draining the budget allotted for such treatment," said the assistant undersecretary, Dr. Mahmoud Abdul-Hadi.

Dr. Abdul-Hadi, who was speaking on sidelines of a pilgrims' gathering, affirmed that the MoH "will not accept halting or terminating procedures for any Kuwaiti patient receiving medical teament abroad at the pretext of drained budget specialized for that purpose." On the health insurance project for retirees, he said it would be in effect middle of October, urging the retirees to update their files with the Public Institution for Social Security to benefit from new services such as the SMs. (end) ndq.rk
