Iraqi plane with 216 passengers makes emergency landing in Kuwait

KUWAIT, July 31 (KUNA) -- An Iraqi plane carrying 216 passengers made an emergency landing late Sunday at Kuwait International Airport, said head of Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA) Operations Saleh Al-Faddaghi.
The plane, which took off from Baghdad airport towards New Delhi, made the emergency landing at Kuwait airport after discovering a technical failure inside one of the engines, he told KUNA in a statement.
The plane landed safely and all passengers were safe, he said, indicating that the airport dealt with the situation in line with measures taken in such a case. (end) fnk.fsh.hm
