PKK armed attack injures two Turkish soldiers

ISTANBUL, July 31 (KUNA) -- At least two Turkish soldiers were wounded during an armed attack by Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) members in Lice town in Diyarbakir south-east of the country late Saturday, said Turkish security sources Sunday.
The PKK militants attacked a police station with machineguns in Lice town injuring the two soldiers, said Turkish Ikhlas News Agency.
This attack comes two days after the PKK members attacked a group of soldiers while conducting a combing operation of the area which resulted in the killing of five and injuring eight others. (end) ta.ss
