Egyptian court refers seven terrorists to Grand Mufti for execution opinion

CAIRO, July 30 (KUNA) -- The Criminal Court of Giza referred Saturday seven terrorists to Egypt's Grand Mufti as a prelude to their execution on charges of killing a police officer.
The court, presided by Justice Hussein Kandil, set September 24th for a session to declare the final ruling based on the religious opinion of the Mufti.
The seven defendants were accused of killing Major-General Nabil Faraj, assistant director of Giza security, during an armed confrontation that took place in Kerdasa village in Giza between security forces and terrorist suspects. (end) esm.ma
