Two terrorist suspects detained in Belgium

BRUSSELS, July 30 (KUNA) -- Belgian police have detained two terrorist suspects Friday evening during eight raids in and around the cities of Mons and Liege in southern Belgium.
According to Belgian media reports Saturday, the two suspects will be questioned by an examining magistrate today.
They are suspected to have been planning a terrorist attack in Belgium. The two are said to be brothers.
Police raided 7 properties around Mons and one property in Liege. No weapons or explosives were found at any of the places raided.
The raids were not connected to the on-going investigation into the attacks in Brussels in March or in Paris last November nor to the recent terrorist attacks in France, noted the reports. (end) nk.gta
