ISTANBUL, July 28, (KUNA) -- Two Turkish policemen were killed and 15 others were injured after a car bomb exploded in the southeast province of Hakkari, said a statement by the Turkish security forces Thursday.
The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) took responsibility for this attack with the Turkish army vowing to retaliate, added the statement.
The attack took place Wednesday evening at a security checkpoint on the road from the neighboring city of Van, said a media source. (end)
