French police detain "third man" in investigation into Church attack

PARIS, July 26 (KUNA) -- French anti-terrorist police have detained a "third man" for questioning on his potential links with the attack earlier Tuesday against a Church, south of Rouen in Normandy, media sources said.
The attack led to the murder of the priest of the church and the serious wounding of one other person attending a service there. Police stormed the Church quickly after the incident began and released three other hostages and shot both attackers on the scene dead but found the body of the priest who had been executed in so-called Islamic State style.
The other wounded hostage was fighting for his life after sustaining very serious injuries, the Interior Ministry said.
French online service of daily "Le Figaro" quoted sources close to the enquiry as indicating a third man had been detained Tuesday afternoon, but no further information was given.
IS claimed the Rouen operation via one of its official websites. (pickup previous) jk.rk
