KUWAIT, July 26 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah met on Tuesday with Board Chairman and General Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah and board members of the national news network.
Sheikh Salman discussed with the KUNA managers means of boosting cooperation between the ministry and the news agency, noting its key role in providing the public with accurate and substantiated news and information.
The Ministry of Information puts its resources at KUNA's disposal "for sake of realizing the planned objectives" in the national media sector, the minister pledged during the meeting.
He lauded KUNA's efforts for serving the national media and promoting the civil image of the State of Kuwait, locally and internationally.
For his part, the KUNA chief Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij lauded the Minister's substantial support for the news agency, affirming keenness on placing all the available resources for serving the media sector at the national level.
KUNA's board diligently seeks to upgrade the news agency's work, the staff skills through highly professional training courses, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij said, affirming the team-work approach in dealing with the other national news organizations for broadcasting the accurate news. (end) mdm.jk.rk
