Ooredoo Kuwait posts KD-19.3-mln net profit in H1 of '16

KUWAIT, July 25 (KUNA) -- National Mobile Telecommunication Company, Ooredoo in Kuwait, announced on Monday net profits of KD 19.3 million for the first half of 2016.
It said in a press statement that the consolidated Earnings Per Share hit 38.5 fils for the first half of 2016, compared with 29.6 fils for the same period last year.
It added that the revenues for the first half of 2016 stood at KD 350.8 million compared with KD 359.1 million for the same period of last year, a decrease of two percent.
The company's customers reached 24.6 million for the first half of 2016, up by two percent, compared with the same period of last year, it noted.
The company said it completed last May the Ooredoo's acquisition procedures of the FASTtelco company, the provider of Internet services, in Kuwait.
Chairman of Ooredoo Sheikh Saud Al Thani stressed that the company made growth in all its business sectors.
