Suspicious abandoned car sparks security fears, station re-opened

LONDON, July 25 (KUNA) -- A major London Tube station was evacuated while police dealt with an abandoned car described as suspicious by Transport for London, and later re-opened.
Police were quick to the scene at Golders Green station, a spokesman for Transport for London said.
It added that the station, located in the heart of the city's Jewish community, was closed due to a security alert.
A London police spokesman said they had been alerted to an abandoned car near the station at 7:00 this morning.
Police were trying to trace the owner and as a precaution they were looking for anything suspicious, he added.(end).
