Military strikes continue against IS militants in Syria, Iraq

WASHINGTON, July 24 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces continued to attack so-called Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria and Iraq.
In Syria, coalition military forces conducted attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against IS targets near Ar Raqqah and Manbij, the coalition said in a press release on Sunday.
Moreover, in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted four strikes near Habbaniyah, Qayyarah, Ramadi and Sultan Abdallah, it added.
The airstrikes launched in Iraq were in coordination with and in support of the government, using bomber, attack, fighter and ground-attack aircraft against IS targets, it said. (end) nam
