Kuwait Red Crescent continues delivering aid to Syrians in Lebanon
BEIRUT, July 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has continued delivering relief supplies to Syrian families in a number of Lebanese regions.
Anwar Al-Ali, the KRCS field team, told KUNA on Saturday that the aid was given to 250 families in Al-Rafid village, in the Western Bekaa, southeast of Beirut. The supplies included food, detergents, sweets and gifts for children.
Meanwhile, Yousef Boutros, operations coordinator of the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC), said the KRCS relief contributions have largely alleviated plight of hundreds of Syrian families that have settled up in Lebanese regions.
He conveyed the refugees' gratitude to His Highness the Amir, the Kuwaiti Government and people for all what they have given.
There are at least one million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, living in shanty towns in the eastern Bekaa valley and northern areas. (end) ma.rk
