Kuwait Red Crescent Society offers more aid to Syrian refugee families in Lebanon
BEIRUT, July 20 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) on Wednesday announced the distribution of relief aid on 250 Syrian refugee families in Murouj Al-Khoukh town, southern Lebanon.
Each family was offered food packages and cleaning materials enough for five people for a whole month, said head of the KRCS field team Abdullah Al-Zeid.
Al-Zeid said the KRCS role is part of Kuwait's humanitarian efforts and inititaives to support the Syrian refugees since the eruption of their crisis more than five years ago, he added.
He hoped the aid would help alleviate the sufferings of the refugees amid by harsh conditions.
Lebanon hosts more than a million Syrian refugees suffering harsh living conditions in makeshift camps in different parts of the country. (end) mah.msa
