KUWAIT, July 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwait never wavers in giving unlimited support to young Kuwaitis who demonstrate their prowess and talents on the local and international levels, said Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Wednesday.
He made that press statement after having met in his office with a bevy of female Kuwaiti high achieving professionals, namely Dr. Nora Al-Masha'an who earned a Ph.D. degree in coastal engineering and oil slicks from the University of Johns Hopkins, and Jenan bin Salama who has been chosen by the Sorbonne University in France as a lecturer on linguistics based research, and Dr. Dima Al-Weqayyan who has been selected as a judge in a highly-regarded mock-trial in the United States and airline pilot Munira Bu-Arki, who has the distinction of becoming the first female Kuwaiti pilot of commercial air flights.
The minister applauded these ladies for their professional excellence in their chosen fields of interest, underscoring the fine examples they have set for other young female Kuwaitis to follow. (end) akh.ajs
