BEIRUT, July 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society's (KRCS) distribution of aid continued for Syrian refugees in Lebanon, giving humanitarian supplies to 250 families in northern Lebanon on Tuesday.
KRCS teams distributed the aid - which included foodstuff, cleaning materials and gifts for children - to the displaced Syrian families in Qulaiaat town, said Abdullah Al-Zaid, head of KRCS mission to Lebanon, told KUNA.
He explained that a package of aid would be sufficient to a family of five members for a whole month.
Coordinator of relief operations in the Lebanese Red Cross, Yusuf Boutrus, said KRCS has been offering assistance to the Syrian refugees since the eruption of the Syrian conflict in order to alleviate their suffering.
There are more than a million Syrian refugees scattered in different parts of Lebanon. (end) mah.bs
