KUWAIT, July 19 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Environment Public Authority (EPA) Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah announced Tuesday the arrival of a floating pollutants monitoring station in Kuwait.
The device and its sensors will be installed in the selected areas over the next few days, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad told KUNA.
The station will operate soon with an early warning system to detect any contaminants or any emergency incident in the marine environment around the clock, he added.
The measurements in the new station are selected carefully by the EPA, he said, adding that according to special features for the floating pollutants monitoring station to monitor and control a wide range of factors and pollutants in the air and sea. (end) zak.ss
