KUWAIT, July 13 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Board and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah received here on Wednesday Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Kuwait Yu Yun Chol.
The two sides discussed during the meeting ways to strengthen media cooperation between them in addition to many issues of common concern.
Sheikh Mubarak stressed keenness of KUNA to contribute to the consolidation of relations between the State of Kuwait and the brotherly and friendly countries, especially with the Republic of South Korea.
He said he looked forward to the development of media cooperation with the Korean media organizations, a matter which would strengthen relations between the two countries at all levels.
KUNA's Chairman also praised efforts of the Ambassador in strengthening relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of South Korea.
For his part, the ambassador said that KUNA plays a distinctive role among its counterparts in the region, praising its efforts in the provision of accurate and advanced information and reports.
He also extolled the agency's commitment and objectivity approach in news reporting and coverage of the events, noting that Kuwaiti media is always privileged as it enjoys a large space of freedom that puts it in the ranks of advanced media.
Deputy Director-General for Editorial Sector Saad Al-Ali and Director of Public Relations and Marketing Esam Al-Ruwaiyeh attended the meeting.(end).
