14 strikes in Syria, 15 in Iraq target IS -- coalition

WASHINGTON, July 7 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces continued to attack the so-called Islamic State (IS), conducting 14 strikes in Syria and 15 in Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force said on Thursday. In Syria, the strikes hit near Abu Kamal, Ar Raqqah and Manbij, where 11 strikes struck five separate IS tactical units and destroyed five IS fighting positions and two IS-used bridges, and damaged a separate IS-used bridge, the announcement said.
In Iraq, the strikes hit near Al Baghdadi, Al Huwayjah, Mosul, Qayyarah, Ramadi, Rawah, Sinjar and Sultan Abdallah, the statement said. (end) rm.rk
