National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim meets with Secretary General of the Supreme Commission for projects and national heritage and official in charge of organizing the World Cup in Qatar Hassan Al-Thawadi
KUWAIT, July 4 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim said on Monday that Kuwait and Kuwaitis were ready to harness all potentials and efforts to support the brothers in Qatar to contribute to the success of hosting the 2022 World Cup.
This came during Al-Ghanim's reception of Secretary General of the Supreme Commission for projects and national heritage and official in charge of organizing the World Cup in Qatar Hassan Al-Thawadi and Assistant Secretary-General of the Competition Nasser Al- Khater.
Al-Ghanim said that Qatar hosting of this global event is a source of pride for all Gulf and Arab people, expressing his confidence in the ability of Qataris in the organization of such major events, especially since Qatar had demonstrated its ability in hosting such world events.
For his part, Al-Thawadi gave a detailed explanation of the Qatari preparations to organize the FIFA World Cup for 2022, reviewing the importance of such world championship.(end).
